Omar was a Stark County farmer who about 1895 married Jennie M. Heiser and had two children. Jennie's premature death had a big effect on Omar and he never really recovered - becoming quite eccentric. In his later years, Omar worked as a handyman around the community and lived alone in a small building behind his daughter's home in Middlebranch, Ohio. He was a man about 5' 8" tall, medium build and soft spoken.
