Perkins Passes Away

Mrs. Versa Willett, 51 years old, wife of R.C. Willett of Perkins died of complications at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was admitted at the hospital for medical treatments Saturday, and had been in failing health for the past 10 years.

The body was removed to the Morgan Funeral Home at Advance where the funeral arrangements await the arrival of a son, Pfc. Bernard Willett from an Army camp in California.

Mrs. Willett is survived by her husband; three sons. Pfc. Bernard Willett, and Thurman and Robert Willett, both of Perkins; a daughter, Miss Marjorie, also of Perkins, two brothers, Judge O.F. Reed and Judge A.S. Reed, of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mrs. G.E. Chapman of Allenville and Mrs. W. Hinkle of Advance; two step daughters, Mrs. Walter Hosea of Cape Girardeau and Mrs. Clyde Elf rank of Perkins, once grandchild and six step grandchildren.

Mrs. Willett, formerly Miss Versa Reed, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.S. ("Sim") Reed, Advance was born January 27, 1893.
