Harold E. "Army" Armstrong, 92, of Chillicothe, died 9:20 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2000, in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born May 5, 1908, in Chillicothe, to the late James and Jenny Waft Armstrong. He was married January 14, 1955, to A. Lillian Morris, who died January 9, 2000.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Charles Kerr, Green Cove Springs, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sally Armstrong, Chillicothe; six grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Eby, Clyde, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Harold Armstrong Jr., and his wife, June; a sister; and three brothers.

Army served in the 8th Army Air Corps during World War II, had been a carpenter and had retired from the Chillicothe Post Office. He was a member of VFW Post 108 and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 757.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
