Services for William Allen Bryan, 55, of Carthage were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 1991 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Charles Dodson officiated. Entombment followed in the J.D. Jimerson Memorial Mausoleum in Panola County Restland Memorial Park. Mr. Bryan died in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday, July 6.

Born on November 3, 1935 in Paul's Valley, Okla., Mr. Bryan was the son of William A. and Roxie Wilson Bryan. He was production foreman for Union Pacific Resources and had lived in Carthage for 14 years, moving from New Iberia, La. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Central Baptist Church in Carthage.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bryan of Carthage; one son, David Allen Bryan of Longview; two daughters, Diane Phillips of Orange, Texas and Cynthia Bryan of Carthage; two brothers, Robert Bryan of Las Vegas, Nev. and Jim Bryan of Houston; one sister, Mae Huddleston of Plain Dealing, La.; three grandchildren, Lee Taylor and Justin Ryan Phillips of Orange and Matthew Allen Bryan of Longview.

Pallbearers were Floyd Brannon, Ray Hayward, James Meachen, Mike Reagan, Donnie Tompkins, and W.A. Wedgeworth.
