Susan was married to Charles C. Hall in about 1820. Together they had 11 children-10 girls and 1 boy: Margaret (wife of Elias Tharp), Mary (wife of Robert Kingan), Phebe (wife of Thomas Wilson), Catherine (wife of Isaac Logan), Elizabeth, Emma (wife of Jacob McKelvey), Keziah (wife of Joseph L. Conner & Daniel M. Sager), John (husband of Rosa McCormick), Sarah (wife of Samuel Birch), Christina, and Susannah. Susan apparently spent her early years in the Braddock, Pennsylvania area and Charles and Susan lived there for at least part of their early years together, however by the mid-1840's they had settled onto a small farm near Murrysville, Pennsylvania. They remained there until Charles' death. Susan then moved to her daughter, Sarah's, home in Pittsburgh, where she died. The only grave marker for this family is for this daughter, Sarah Hall Birch, although an obituary indicates that Susan is buried in this cemetery and a large space exists next to Sarah's grave that would allow for several family members to lie there. The family was poor and either the markers were never bought or have weathered away. Three of the daughters have not been located: Elizabeth probably married, but the two youngest, Christina & Susannah, most likely died as children between 1850-1860 and could quite possibly be buried in this cemetery also.
