Services for Hazel Browning, 82, were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel. Rev. Ken Hodge officiated. Burial was in Landers Cemetery.

Mrs. Browning died Oct. 2 at Piedmont Health and Rehabilitation.

Survivors include a daughter, Cherie Browning of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Diane Browning of Ashford; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Judith Beck and Ann D. and Charles Hill of Jacksonville and Betty Barr of Anniston; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Glenda Beck, of Clinton, Md.; four grandchildren, Brad and Michael Browning, and Chris and James Windham; seven great-grandchildren; four nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Browning was a former resident of Cairo, Ill., and a native of Jacksonville. She was the former owner of Colonial Cottage Florist and worked as the florist for Food Outlet in Jacksonville for many years. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church.

Her husband James E. Browning, son James E. Browning, Jr., mother Lillian Dyer Beck, father Edward Lee Dyer, her step father Edward O. Beck, Sr., brother-in-law George Emmett Barr, Jr. and her nephews, Mickey Hill and Christopher Beck preceded her in death.
