David LaMarr Thorum, beloved brother, 67, passed away on October 13, 2008 after a lingering illness.


Born October 22, 1940 in Murray, Utah to Rolla Arden and Luetta Fox Thorum. Married Dorothy Hawkins. She passed away on November 18, 1999. David served in the US Army from 1962 to 1965. Member of the LDS Church and an Eagle Scout. He was a superior athlete: baseball, football and basketball. David was a fun human being, full of surprises.


Survived by sisters, Joyce Skidmore, Cottonwood Heights; Birdie (Donald) Acerson, Green River, UT; brothers, Arden (JoAnn) Thorum, Fallbrook, CA; and Hal Thorum, Green River, UT.


Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street. Friends may call on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 7-8 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7700 South).
