Manasseh(also spelled Manasser on some records) was an older son if not the eldest son of Ephriam Darling and Penina(Coley)Darling, his brothers and sisters were John,Billie,Buddy,Puss,Mary,Ranier and my Great Great Grandmother Tranquilla(Darling)Jones.
Manasser is buried with his wife Elizabeth Jane Darling, May 30th 1845-Oct 30th 1925. Manasser served in the Civil War, with his uncles James Marion Coley,William George Washington Coley(Pow in Tenn)-sons of William Coley and Margret(pace)Coley(His grandparents). and future family members Robert Jones and John Starnes. All Serving in the 31st Regiment co.K, called up toward the beginning of the war, with service in Ms,(Vicksburg) Ga, Al and Tenn,NC serving with General Hood in Ga. There is a CSA marker at the grave of Manasser. Children Francis Ann (Darling) May 22 1870-Dec 7th 1944, and Benjamin Orr Darling Oct 17th 1873-Oct 18th 1941.
Benjamin Orr Darling was the father of Benjamin Garner Darling the father of Oscar Darling who lived near the Blue Springs Cemtery where Penina and Ephriam are buried.
