Ralph C. Flick, 100, of 1311 Summer St. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Pekin Hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1908, in Cincinnati Township, Tazewell County, to William Henry and Mary (Gainer) Flick. He married Katie Alma Thurman on Oct. 3, 1928, in Springfield. She died Oct. 19, 1977, in Pekin.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Marilyn Jean Rowell on June 19, 1991 in Peoria; three sisters, Ruth Smith, Edna Welch and Marie Wineburner; and four brothers, Roy Flick, Johnnie Flick, Ray Flick and Russell Flick.

He also leaves a dear friend, Kate Bush of Pekin.

Ralph worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Co. in Bartonville for 39 years, retiring on March 1, 1973, as a rod inspector in the rod mill.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1869 in Pekin.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.
