Darrell Ray Provost 96, of Paradise, Utah, died at the Sunshine Terrace Care Center, in Logan, on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004. At the time of his passing, Darrell was the oldest member of the Paradise LDS Third Ward. He was born July 12, 1908, in Midway, Utah, the son of David E. and Vera Cummings Provost. Darrell also had five sisters: Erma, Ethel, Gwen, Margie and Beva.

Darrell worked as a miner in Park City for over 25 years, and at Geneva Steel in Orem for over 20 years, where he retired. In 1929 he married his sweetheart, Lilly LaPreal Cluff in Heber City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had a son, Ray Darrell, and two daughters, Betty Lou and Maxine Lillie. His wife Lilly passed away in 1966. Darrell later married Beulah Ellison in Provo. She died in 1998.

Darrell was always dedicated completely to everything he undertook. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which he held many callings. He was always pleased that he could serve for many years as an ordinance worker in the Provo LDS Temple.

Darrell in survived by his sisters: Erma, Ethel and Beva; daughters: Betty (Douglas) Bowden of Provo, Maxine (Roy) McDonald of Paradise. He also has nine grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew him will remember Darrell with love and appreciation.
