Edrie Mae Kirk, a longtime resident of Fort Worth, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at a care center in Watauga at the age of 92 years and 6 months. Graveside service: was Tuesday in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Edrie was born May 11, 1915, in Lampasas to Benjamin F. and Elizabeth Weaver McKissick. In 1931, she married Vardarman Ayers, who died in 1935. They had two children, Franklin and Leta Dell. In 1936, she married John Gregory; they divorced in 1942. They had two children, James and Patricia. In 1944, she married Aldon Kirk, who died in 1980. They had one child, Melton. She was preceded in death by her husbands; one daughter, Leta Ralston; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin L. and Vernell Ayers of North Richland Hills, James W. and Jimmie Faye Gregory of Springtown and Melton R. Kirk of Moorhead, Minn.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ron Garthwaite of Artesia, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Una Dell Watson of Hobbs, N.M., and Mildred Dunn of Comanche; and brother, Billy McKissick of Palestine.
