Raymond Cullen Bryant



Bakersville, N.C. - Raymond Cullen Bryant, 56, of Bee Branch Road, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, in Mission Hospital, Asheville, after a brief illness.

He was the son of the late Ray and Helen Herrell Bryant.

He was a member of Lower Brummitts Creek Church of the Brethren and attended Abundant Life Outreach Church of Spruce Pine, N.C. Mr. Bryant was a millwright by occupation.

Survivors include his daughter, Brianna Helen Bryant of Carrollton, Ga.; three sisters, Deb Stanbery and husband, Greg, of Spruce Pine, Barbara Smith and husband, John, of Bakersville, and Alesa Bryant of Bakersville, and Henry.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Pleasant Grove Church of the Brethren, officiated by John Smith and Ron Vinson. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Masters Cemetery, Bee Branch Road.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home.
