Captain David Wright, a respected old gentleman about 65 of age, at the home of his son-in-law, Dr. Walker, at 311 Adams street, died yesterday morning about 9 o'clock.

Captain Wright was born in Grenada, Miss., where he lived about 18 years ago, when he moved to Rockdale, Tex, and engaged in the mercantile business. He afterward moved to Corsicana., where he remained until after the death of his daughter, Dr. Walker's wife, when he came to Fort Worth to look after and take charge of the doctor's children.

Deceased has a brother, who is a prominent physician in Sardis Miss., also a wife, two single daughters, and one married daughter, and a son, who survived him. He was a member if the Presbyterian church.

The funeral will take place from the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the remains will be interred in the Trinity Cemetery.
