JOHN MILTON1 CREASY was born 27 Jan 1872 to William and Mary Elizabeth (Dodson) Creasy, and died 01 Jun 1964 in Kennard, Houston Co., TX. He married MINNIE AMANDA DOMINY 27 Oct 1897, daughter of DANIEL DOMINY and CYNTHIA FONDREN. They lived in Pine Prairie where John Creasy farmed, and where their first three children were born. About 1911 they moved to Kennard. They bought a house on the very north-end of Broadway Street, and a hundred acres on the upper reaches of Cochino Creek from Willie Warren Brown. Minnie Amanda Dominy Creasy died suddenly April 19, 1918. John Crease's mother came to live with them and help raise the children. John Creasy farmed the land along Cochino Creek with his sons and daughters. He was elected a Commissioners of Precinct 4. John Creasy was a very active member of the Coltharp Masonic Lodge in Kennard, serving as Worshipful Master in 1928. He was also an active member of the Kennard Methodist Church. In later life, he could be seen walking to Kennard, where he played checkers at Claude Johnson's Garage, and on Sunday he walked to Sunday school and church at the Methodist-Presbyterian Church. He died June 1, 1964, and is buried, along with Minnie Amanda, in the Pennington Cemetery.

John Milton Creasy and Minnie Amanda Dominy Creasy were the parents of five children:
1. William Buford Creasy b. November 28, 1898 in Pine Prairie. He married Eunice Julian, the daughter of George Dennis and Esther Louisa Morgan Julian of Kennard. They lived in Groveton, where Buford died August 3, 1953.
2. Evie L. Creasy was born in Pine Prairie October 24, 1900. She married William Smith Harkins, the son of John Ephraim and Frances Rebecca Brown Harkins of Kennard. They lived in Crockett where Evie died December 21, 1948. Smith and Evie are both buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Crockett.
3. Royal Milton Creasy was born September 19, 1905 in Pine Prairie. He married Laura Matthews from Groveton, and lived in Groveton all his adult life. He died January 22, 1938 and is buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton.
4. Mildred Aletha Creasy was born June 28, 1911 in Kennard. She married James Edwin Petty of Hagerville September 23, 1933 in Crockett. They lived in Houston for a number of years, before retiring to the Petty Family Home in Hagerville in 1971, where Mildred still lives.
5. Daniel Clayton Creasy was born February 26, 1915 in Kennard. He married Mabel Williams of Center. They lived in Lufkin and in Center, where he died June 18, 1971.
