Frank A. Barna, 64, of 2421 Miami, died at 5:45 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a mechanical engineer at Uniroyal, Inc., Mishawaka. He was born on April 4, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On November 21, 1940, in South Bend, he married Elsie VanDeVeire, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Marcia) Reed of Cassopolis, Mrs. Bob (Chris) Wallace of South Bend, and Mrs. Frances Ann Barna of Warsaw; three sons, Kenneth and William, both of South Bend, and David of Dyer, Ind.; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Righter of South Bend; and his mother, Mrs. Margaret Barna of South Bend.
