Helen Louise Lewis, age 95, went to be with her Lord on October 11, 2008 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. She was born in Bonifay on September 9, 1913 to Lester and Carrow (Braswell) Sharron. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a member of Sapp Community Church and a lifelong resident of Washington County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Lewis; one brother, Charles Sharron; one daughter, Nelma Lewis; and one son, Elmer Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by two sons: Olis L. and wife Blondell Lewis of Garland, Texas and Orwin and wife Sue Lewis of Enterprise, Alabama; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cloys Joiner officiating. Internment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
