Mary Ellen NEFF, aged 93, died Saturday at Senior Village Nursing Home in
Perryton following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. NEFF was born on September 19, 1889 in Stephenville, Tex. She moved to
Tyrone, Okla. in 1904 where she married Carl Pearson NEFF on August 7, 1909. In
1967, Mrs. NEFF moved to Senior Village Nursing Home where she lived until her
death. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
The housewife was preceded in death by her husband, who died in July of 1943,
as well as a son, Nolan, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, seven sisters
and two brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruby) BLAIR of Balko, Okla.; a
son, Arden, of Guymon, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Dan WADLEY, of Guymon,
Okla.; a brother-in-law, Dewey FRAIM of Liberal, Kansas; eight grandchildren and
17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Roberts
Brothers funeral home, Hooker, Okla. Mrs. NEFF's grandsons, the Rev. Tommy
BLAIR and Rev. Bobby BLAIR, were to officiate. Interment was in the Tyrone
cemetery, Tyrone, okla.
