William L. Figart
For many years a resident of Altoona, died at a local hospital at 12.45 noon, following an extended illness. He was a retired employe [sic] of the Pennsylvania, railroad, having served as a conductor in the local yard. [Altoona Mirror; Altoona, Blair, Pennsylvania; January 14, 1932]

Funeral Notices
Funeral services for William L. Figart, retired yard conductor who died yesterday noon, will be held at the Stevens memorial chapel at 2.00 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Stevens mortuary. Mr. Figart was born at Entriken on January 6, 1861. Surviving are one brother and two sisters, Daniel Figart, Mrs. Anna McKinley and Mrs. Charles Wingblade of St. Louis. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. MANY ATTEND FUNERALS
The funerals of William L. Figart, P.R.R Veteran and Mrs. Myrtle Ray Figart, wife of Joseph F. Figart of 207 Highland avenue, Fourteen ward, who is a nephew of the railroad veteran, were held yesterday and Saturday afternoons, respectively, from the Stvens [sic] memorial chapel, where both bodies were viewed from the times of their deaths until the funerals.
