Juanita Collinsworth Oney, Dayton, OH, formerly of White Oak, KY, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at her residence, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 20 days. She was born December 20, 1920 in Greenup County, KY, a daughter of the late Frank and Lois Sprague Collinsworth.
Juanita was united in marriage to William Stanley Oney. This union was blessed with five children. She was a retired floral designer and a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,William Stanley Oney, two children, Michael Oney and Diana Brun and one sister, Opal Harper.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Oney and wife Mary, Kettering, OH, Rod Oney and wife Patricia, Oxford, OH and one daughter, Shelia Oney, Salyersville, KY; four grandchildren, Leesa Smith, Andrea Ogg, Patrick Oney and Andrew Ogg; one great granddaughter, Jessica Smith; one sister, Georgia Harper, West Liberty, KY and a son-in-law, David Brun, Beavercreek, OH.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at the Potter Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Reed officiating, with burial in the Allen Cemetery, Hwy 1081, West Liberty, KY. Visitation at 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Potter Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Andrew Ogg, Patrick Oney, Rod Oney, Ralph Oney, David Brun and Randell Perkins.
