Obituary - Allen Roscoe Buckner, 72, of Casey, passed away at the Hillcrest Sanitarium, Vincennes, Indiana, Saturday, July 30. He had been a patient there for about two weeks.
Mr. Buckner was born July 4, 1894 in Clark County, the son of William and America (Riffle) Buckner. He married Flossie Ruth Parcel on March 21, 1915 in Casey, Clark County IL. To this union were born three sons, two of whom died in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Flossie; one son, Earl (Cathie) Buckner; three grandchildren; three nieces, and two nephews.
Friends may call at the Hiles Funeral Home, Greenup, until noon Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the Hickory Church. Services will be held there at 2:00pm. Rev. Ray Janes will officiate. Interment will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery, near Annapolis.
