She was born March 18, 1931, in Cheyenne Valley, Okla., to Charles Ambrose and Sarah Olive Bays Bullard. She, her oldest brother and her father all were born in the same room of the two-story, stone quarried house that her grandfather built in 1894.
On April 30, 1948, she married Eugene Oscar Scobee in Clayton, N.M. She worked with her husband doing farming and ranching, and also drove a beet truck and a school bus. She loved helping other people, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, being a homemaker, her church activities and being with children.
A memorial service was at First Church of the Nazarene in La Junta. Burial was at Walsh Cemetery.
