Hollon was a retired farmer and feed mill worker and a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lucy Hayes Wright Hollon; parents, Willy Wilson and Lonie Virgie Lane Hollon; four brothers, John, James, Garland and June Hollon; and three sisters, Vennie and Dasey Hollon and Sarah Murphy.
Survivors include: four sons Terry Hollon of Lebanon, David Hollon of Campbellsville, William Hollon of Alabama and Thomas Hollon of Mississippi; one daughter and step-daughter Sandra Mitchell of Campbellsville and Sue Ann Stafford of Bradfordsville; two sisters, Prudie Hollon and Nancy Morgeson, both of Bradfordsville; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Aug. 26, 2008, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Don Crowder officiated.
Pallbearers were Anthony and Wayne Hollon, Stephen and William Stafford, Charles Holt and Michael Mitchell.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
