Grovenor Richard Beckwith was born in Pennsville, Ohio, Aug. 20, 1864, and died in Holton, December 29, 1908, aged 44 years, 4 months and 9 days. He came to Kansas 23 years ago. For many years he had been a member of the Naylor Drug Co., and closely identified with the business interests of the town. August 26, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Hammer, of St. Marys, who with two little daughters, Mary and Katherine survive him. He united with the Presbyterian church, November 21, 1903. For the past two years he had been in poor health, and about six months ago he went east to Malta, Ohio, with the hope the climate may be beneficial .... he leaves an aged father in Malta, Ohio; two brothers, Frank of Malta, Ohio, and Leonard of Boulder, Colo., Miss Myrtle Beckwith, of Denver and Miss May Beckwith of Kansas City ....
