Billy Joe Rice, 61, of Springdale, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Redding, Calif., to Roy Franklin and Ruby Mae Roberts Rice.

He was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Bacon and Lavada Kerr. He is survived by a sister, Mary Miles of Springdale. Gravesite services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
