Deceased was 86 years of age, having been born in Liberty County, Texas, January 24, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Watson. She came with her parents as a girl to Oletha in the southeastern part of this county.
She was united in marriage with Felix Sadler at Oletha October 21, 1899. This couple resided in the Oletha vicinity for a number of years of their married life, but 40 yeara ago they moved to Groesbeck. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in Groesbeck in 1949, and Mr. Sadler passed on February 9, 1950.
Mrs. Sadler is survived by three sons, Hugh Sadler of Porter, Otis Sadler of Teague, and Andy Sadler of Waco; five daughters, Mrs. T.B. Morton and Mrs. E.N. Raborn of Groesbeck, Mrs. O.L. Cox of Port Bolivar, Mrs. Roy Williams of Waco, and Mrs. Earl Freeman of Coolidge.
Also surviving her are 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, A.C. Watson, of Tyler.
Deceased was a member of the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck. The services were officiated by her pastor, Rev. W.H. Long. Organ music was by Mrs. C.L. Harrison.
Serving as pallbearers were the following grandsons: John Brent Freeman, E.G. Raborn, Gary Sadler, Charles Sadler, Ed Morton, and Joe Sadler. Burial was in Faulkenberry Cemetery.
