CHARLESTON - Hugh Harrison Coleman died Thursday, Jan. 25, 1996, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in J. Henry Stuhr Downtown Chapel.
Burial will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
A native of Ridgeway, Mr. Coleman was a son of Joseph Hines Coleman and Martha Walker Harrison Coleman. He was a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a retired sales engineer with Cameron and Barkley Company. Mr. Coleman was also a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army Reserves with 28 years of service. He was a life member of the Orange Lodge No. 14. He was a member of James Island Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and treasurer for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara C. Andrews, Mobile, Ala., and Sylvia C. Blitch, Aiken; a son, Hugh H. Coleman Jr., Moncks Corner; four sisters, Pauline C. Jernigan, White Rock, Josephine Davis, Sumter, Ethel Toler, Laurens, and Lois C. Bradham, Charleston; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, Coastal Branch, 1941 Savage Road, Suite 200-A, Charleston 29407.
