Deward Dellacroy Hopkins passed away October 24, 1986 at his Salt Lake City home.

Born February 26, 1905 in Joseph, Utah to Minnie Gilbert and Charles Hopkins.

He married Anna Lou Brockbank April 5, 1931, with rites later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

He graduated from the Delta High School, worked for the Bank of America in Los Angeles, the returned to work for the Salina National Bank.

He became employed with the Magic Chemical Company of Salt Lake in 1936, and was associated with that firm up until his death.

During World War II, he was Executive Secretary for the Utah Department of Agriculture. He was a long time member of the Salina Lions Club, and was an avid sportsman, with a great love for the mountains and parks of Utah.

He is survived by: his wife, Anna Lou; sisters, Olive Bracket and Janice Borchert, both of Salt Lake; a daughter, Jenniece Schilling of Salt Lake; sons, Charles Hopkins of Portland, Oregon and Kendall Hopkins of Salt Lake; two granddaughters and three grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 1986 at 1 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Interment at the Salt Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to American Cancer Society, 610 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111.
