Mary Elizabeth Harper Westbrook, daughter of Jacob A. and Susan J. McManus Harper was born on September 8, 1887, at Anthony's Mill, Missouri and died October 23, 1977, at the Belle-View Manor, Belleville, at the age of 90 years, one month and 15 days.

She received her education in Missouri and was united in marriage to Willis Frank Westbrook on November 11, 1909 in Thomas county, Kansas; one son, Emil was born.
She and her husband were engaged in farming in Republic County for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, in 1946, one grandson, three brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by one son, Emil of Cuba.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bachelor-Faulkner- Dart Memorial Chapel of Belleville, conducted by Kenneth Dissmore. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery
