Charles Blaine Albin, 90, of rural Tuscola passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday September 30, 2008.
Mr. Albin was a son of the late William F. and Lydia (Kearns) Albin born on February 13, 1918 in rural Camargo. He married Louise Kathleen (Kate) Troop on November 21, 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mr. Albin was a farmer in the Hugo area from 1944 to the time of his retirement in 1982. He then worked at Sohigro Fertilizer in Kemp for many years and helped his son John and grandson Ryan farm until his death.

He is survived by his wife Kate, daughters, Judy (Phil) Blaase of Arcola, Mary (Jim) Warner of Alachua, Fl., sons, Lynn (Marcia) Albin and John (Debbie) Albin both of rural Camargo. One son, William R. Albin preceded him in death. Mr. Albin had 7 grandchildren, Angie (Bryan) Clark, Scott (Michelle) Albin, Michelle (Shane)Smith, Erika Albin, Ryan Albin, Kelly (Troy) Haines and Jamie (David) Weinar. He also had seven great grandchildren, Kylee, Lexee, and Laynee Clark, Matthew Albin, Maddison and Morgan Smith, and Addison Haines.

Charles was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Glenn, Howard, Max, and Robert Albin, and two sisters, Ruth Bantz and Inez Helm. He is survived by two sisters, Nina (Walt) Hart of Lafayette, In., and Rosemary Woods of Champaign, Il.

Mr. Albin was a boys 4-H leader in Hindsboro, Il. for several years. He was interested in all aspects of farming and was an innovator of new farming practices. He played on a men's baseball team in Hugo, Il. in th 1950's. Our husband, Dad, and Grandpa was a kind and generous man who thought of others before himself. He lived for his family and taught us to help others in need.
