Obituary from a clipping without source or date:
"Communicated. Died: In Peoria City, Polk co., Iowa, June 8th, 1857, of inflamation of the Brain, ELIZABETH DRAPER, wife of Elias Draper, & daughter of George Hobaugh after an illness of eleven days, Aged 25 years & 28 days. She embraced the christian Religion at the age of seventeen, and lived a consistent Christian the greater part of the time since; although she passed through many deep waters. . . . On the evening before she died, her mind was deeply impressed with the thought of Heaven, and while the grim monster death seemed to press hard against morality, she burst out in these beautiful Lines: . . .[did not copy lines from clipping]."
