Michael A. "Bimbo" Dunder, 1454 Monticello Ave., Hermitage, formerly of 4 Station St., Hermitage, died at 11:32 a.m. Thursday (2-9-95) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 70.

Mr. Dunder was born October 2, 1924, in Sharpsville to Mike and Esther Dunder.

He attended Sharpsville schools, where he played basketball and football.

In 1986 he retired as general foreman in the masonry department of Sharon Steel Corp.'s former Farrell plant with 36 years of service.

Mr. Dunder served in the Army from 1943-1945 as a construction foreman with the 164th Engineers and the 500th Engineers Light Pontoon Company in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He received five Bronze Stars.

He was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, Farrell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5286 and Foreman's Club of Sharon Steel.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Louise Bohach, whom he married August 13, 1946; a daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Donna) Volsko, Hermitage, five sons, Michael, Stephen and David, all Sharpsville; Mark, Shenango Township; and Rick, Hermitage; a brother, Bill, Mercer, seven sisters, Mary D'Urso and Josephine Kinsell, both of Sharpsville; Clara Ellis, yuma, Arizona; Nora Lucas, Sharon; Irene Kurcon, Farrell, Delores Crumbacher, Erie; and Susan McCauley, New Bedford; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Anna Crumbacher, and a grandson, Stephen F. Dunder, Jr.
