Mr. George Elbert "Shug" Brown, 82, of Ararat, Va, a retired farmer, died Wednesday morning at his home. Born June 16, 1908 in Surry County, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hubbard Brown and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a beloved son, Elbert Bowman Brown of Lynchburg, Va; one sister Mrs. Emma Brannock of Surry Rest Home, Dobson; one brother Robert L. Brown of Mount Airy and a number of nieces and nephews.
