The youth was riding with his father, who was traveling at a moderate rate of speed, when the car suddenly swerved to one side, striking a telephone pole.
The child was taken to the hospital immediately after the accident where he remained unconscious until the time of his death. His father suffered cuts and bruises and was given first aid at the hospital and later released.
Funeral services for the youth were held at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ausburne.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Larry Franklin and Gilbert Lee Ausburne and his grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. J.W. Barker and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ausburne.
