Robert Stanley York, 91, of Monticello died September 4, 1985 in Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Services were held in Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with burial in Monticello cemetery.
Mr. York was born February 11, 1894 in Coles County, the s/o Charles and Effie Baker York. He married Delpha Barr. She survives along with four daughters: Marian Blacker, White Heath; Edith Smith, Bement; Irene Gregory and Jean Grandon, both of Springfield MO; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. York was retired from White Heath Grain Elevator. He was a World War I veteran. Memorials may be made to the Kirby Ambulance Fund.
