Lela O. Bower, 91, of Atkins, died Monday, December 31, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville,

She was born January 10, 1916, in the Griffin Flat Community in Pope County, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Ada Martin Ashmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E. E. Bower; a daughter, Patsy Price; a grandson, Ricky Hamm, and a great-grandson, David Wesley Francis. She was a homemaker and was an Assembly of God member.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Eva Bower of Russellville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Silvers of Russellville, Frances and Charles Smith of Atkins, Martha and Darrell Flory of Hattieville; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Lemley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Caldwell, Charles Smith and Rev. Bobby Holyfield officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, north of Atkins, by Lemley Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 Pm Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Billy Bower, Bobby Bower, Christopher Flory, Michael Price, Joey Pack, and Ethan Bratton
