Father: Peter Thayer b: 12 JUL 1708 in Braintree, Norfolk, MA. Mother: Anna (Porter) Thayer b: 21 FEB 1716 in Topsfield, Essex, MA.

Husband of: 1. Deborah (Mann) Thayer b: 1 APR 1746 in Braintree, Norfolk, MA. Married: 30 JUN 1770 in Braintree, (Randolph) Norfolk, MA., 2. Sarah (Richards) Thayer b: 1753. Married: 11 FEB 1823 in Randolph, Norfolk, MA.

Zacheus Thayer joined the So. Parish Church 1767, later was a member of the Baptist Church and deacon.
Dorothy (sic) should be Deborah, his wife joined So. Parish Church in 1768. He was a Revolutionary soldier in 1775 and was a pensioner in 1820 when he says he was a laborer, aged 77, and was in the French War also in 1759,1760. Says he has 40 acres a house and barn, much decayed, has a wife aged 74, very infirm and feeble and two grand children with him aged 15 and 13 whose parents are deceased (S.33190). Zaccheus Thayer a.17 (s. Thomas -sic) was a soldier at Braintree 1759 (Reg. Vol.15).
He left a will dated Nov.18,1817, proved Jan.3,1826, giving to wife Deborah improvement of all real estate, to daughter Anna that married Meshech Thayer 1/5 part, to daughter Deborah that married Ebenezer Warren and is deceased, 1/5 part to her son Ebenezer Warren, to daughter Rachel that married Mordecai Thayer and is deceased, 1/5 part to her children, to daughter Ruth that married Zeba Smith 1/5 part, to daughter Elizabeth that married Bela Jordan and is deceased, 1/5 part to her two children John & Betsey, all at my wife's decease and if the children arrive at age (N.P.46-436). The inventory shows a homestead in Randolph and 45 acres, a pew in the No. Baptist meeting house and one in the Old Baptist meeting house. (N.P.47-63). The widow Sarah Thayer had her dower laid off. She left a will which is mentioned with that of her first husband Joseph Thayer.
He resided on present Union St., Holbrook, north side just east of the Cochato River as shown by deed "of part of the farm I now live on" dated Apr.10,1791 (N.D.4-27).
He was elected tithingman 1774,1777, warden 1778, fenceviewer 1779 and surveyor of highways in the So. Precinct 1791.
