They had one child, Martha Thompson born 1870. She married Clifton Bell in Arapahoe County, Denver, Colorado on February 4, 1877. By 1900, she moved to Chicago Illinois, where she resided with her mother and youngest surviving daughter, Elizabeth (Bell) Vaupell. She died in 1915.
