FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD FOR COUNTY PIONEER

Margaret Ann. L. Sargent Passes Away Saturday at Monroe

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Lisonby Sargent, 81, former resident and pioneer of Piute County, who passed away Saturday in Monroe, were held in the South Ward LDS Chapel in Monroe Monday.

Nrs. Sargent was born in Springville August 30, 1860, a daughter of Hugh and Elma Haymond Lisonby. When a girl of 14 she moved to Annabella with her family later to Monroe and Marysvale.

She was married to Andrew J. Sargent, a civil war veteran, at Monroe on December 29, 1877. For seven years the couple operated a hotel at Junction.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters; Mrs. Minnie Sargent Godwin of Monroe, James Elliot Sargent of Sevier and Miles Sargent of Colton, California; three brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Chase of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Mille Lauier of Portland, Oregon, and John Lisonby of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
