Funeral services for Gertie Griffin Barber, 96, of Brinson, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Bethany Baptist Church near Brinson with the Revs.
Paul Worsham, Roy Matthews and Tommy Willis officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Wesley Barwick, Jesse Powell, Joe Barber, John Hill, Anthony Perkins and Max Crews serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Barber died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Decatur County, and a homemaker. She was a retired seamstress for Jack Winter Inc. and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Charles Barber; a son, Charles Barber; and a daughter, Maxie Barber Barwick, who died Feb. 12, 2007, the same day as her mother.
Survivors include nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
