ANE KRISTINE CARLSEN


Funeral services for Ane Kristine Carlsen were held Monday, Aug. 21, 1972 at the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church. She passed away Aug. 18 at the Tyler
Lutheran Home.

Rev. Arley Fadness officiated at the service. Organist was Mrs. Bessie Johansen. Hymns sung were; "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "My Faith Looks Up To Thee," and "Jesus, Priceless Treasure."

Pallbearers were Myron Hansen, Earl Hansen, Kenneth Helgesen, Glen Dosdall, Ivan Meyer, and Walter Mitchell.

Burial was in Diamond Lake Cemetery, D.L. Twp.

Ane was born Aug. 4, 1891, to Kristine and Andrew Nielsen in Diamond Lake Twp. She was baptized and confirmed at the Diamond Lake Church where she was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lake Benton.

Ane attended rural Public School, Danebod, at Tyler and Grand View College at Des Moines. She took Nurses Training at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, graduating in 1922. She worked the next seventeen years nursing at Iowa
Lutheran and T. B. Sanitarium, Des. Moines.

Ane was married to Carl Carlsen Dec. 17, 1942. They farmed in Drammen Twp. until 1963, when they retired and moved into their present home in Lake Benton. Ane moved to the Lutheran Home just 11 days before passing away
suddenly Aug. 18 at the age of 81 years, 14 days. She is survived by her brother, H. Peter Nielsen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, one sister and one brother.

Relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Hansen, Mr. and Mrs Henry Hansen, Lake City, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Glen Dosdall, Hancock, Mrs. Richard Boyer, Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Helgeson and family, Taunton, and friends from Sioux Falls, Hendricks, and Tyler.
