Walter Caplinger, about 85, of 3d St., was found dead in his room yesterday.
Born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abe Caplinger, he was a veteran of World War II sic and was a retired timberman.
Survivors include one half-brother, George G. Caplinger of Marrtown Rd.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night at the Leavitt funeral home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home for Walter Caplinger, 83, Third St., who was found dead in his room Saturday.
Burial will be in the Tracewell Cemetery on Rt. 2, South, with the Rev. Bill Angel officiating. Veterans of World War I will conduct military graveside services.
