Herbert Kuntz died in San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday of last week, and was accorded a military burial by the American Legion. The young man was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Kuntz, of Treichlers, Pa. When he was a mere boy he came to this town, and remained in this vicinity until he went into the army with Battery C., a Clinton county outfit, and he served overseas as cook for the outfit. While in the service an attack of influenza developed into lung trouble, and he was never in robust health after coming home. He married a teacher in Texarkana, Texas, and went to San Antonio, where he engaged in the drug business. He is survived by his wife and child. The deceased was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Phaon Steckel and a nephew of Dr. M. T. Koons.
