Shirley, of Nederland, passed away Thursday at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett after evacuating from Hurricane Ike.

A native of Arkansas and resident of the Beaumont/Nederland area for fifty years, she was a caregiver and cafeteria worker. She enjoyed playing bingo and adored her dog, Scott.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Liscano and Judy and Al Fehnel; son, Doug and Sam Blanchard; half brothers and half sisters, John Hughes, Helen Jackson, Juanita Mill, Ethel Hughes and Patricia Lee; grandchildren, Winter and Spencer Liscano, Lynn Trahan, Tiffany Edwards, Shawn and Shelby Fehnel, Jennifer and Crystal Blanchard; great grandchild, Alexis Worthy; and eleven nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Robert "Bob" Kruse; son, James Blanchard; and daughter, Pat Trahan preceded her in death.
