TIFTON - Lillian "Pig" Mozelle Evans, 80, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Silas Carver, the Rev. Ken Westmoreland and the Rev. Weldon Alligood officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jamie Cox, Evan Cox, Westin Westmoreland and Waylon Westmoreland..

Born May 5, 1924, in Columbus, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late James Walker and the late Irma Register Williford. Mrs. Evans had lived in Tifton for 60 years and was a retired school food service assistant. She was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church..

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harding Evans, and two brothers, Emory Williford and Curtis Williford.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan "Sharlene" Westmoreland and husband, Kenneth of Summerville; three brothers, James "Buck" Williford of Tifton, John Williford of Coos Bay, Oregon and William "Bill" Williford of Quitman; five sisters, Frances Williford, Deane Clement, Lucy Exum and Edna Wheeler, all of Quitman, and Faye Busbin of Norman Park; and her grandchildren, Jamie Cox and wife Miranda, Evan Cox, Westin Westmoreland and Waylon Westmoreland.

Mozelle was the biological daughter of Jimmie Lee Kite and James Walker Williford. Irma (memorial #68788934), raised Mozelle, after the death of Lee Kite Williford in 1934.
