Mrs. Addie Linnie Brown Collins, age 79, of Butler, GA passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, Oct. 3, in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. Jacky Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla.

Born on October 27, 1928 in Statesboro, GA, she was the daughter of the late George Benjamin Brown and Lottie Matilda Williams Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Butler. She loved gospel music and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Estus Collins.

Survivors include seven daughters and sons-in-law, Addie Frances (Max Conner) Amerson of Unadilla, Brenda Sue (Robert) Corbin of Butler, Joyce Ann (Jerry) James of Elko, Linda Ellen (Robert) Chandler of Oglethorpe, Mary Louise (Steve) Bridges of Unadilla, Loucille (Ves) Owens of Elko, Bonnie Jean (Roger) Wainwright of Butler; four sons and daughters-in-law, James Estus (Karen) Collins, Jr. of Montezuma, Ronnie Eugene (Linda) Collins of Unadilla, George Allen (Darla) Collins of Unadilla, Jimmy Floyd (Janet) Collins of Montezuma; two sisters, Elsie Juanita Norris of Valdosta and Janie Lou Odom of Leesburg; 20 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
