Obituary - Marion Whitesides Ellison Cowley, age 96, died of natural causes on February 14, 1990 in Tremonton. Born November 27, 1893 in Layton, Utah Territory, a daughter of Ephraim P. and Elizabeth Whitesides Ellison. Married Murray W. Cowley on September 19, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of Ladies' Literary Club of Salt Lake, Culture Club of Salt Lake, and Acacia Club of Ogden.
Survived by a daughter, Dorothy C. McDonnel, of Encino, California; and son, Francis E. Cowley of Tremonton; 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Calvin E. Cowley.
Funeral services Friday, February 16, at 1 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to: Primary Children's Hospital, 320 - 12th Avenue, SLC, UT 84103.
