Anna Margaret Besecker, second daughter of the late Wm. Besecker, was born in Lucerne county, Pennsylvania, June 28, 1854. Her parents settled near Clinton. Wisconsin, in 1858 and there she grew to womanhood, and where she was married to Edward Wells, of Allen's Grove, March 13,1872. They moved to Iowa shortly after. Mrs. Wells departed this life July 31, 1904, aged 50 years, 1 month 3 days, in Wesley hospital, Chicago, where she had gone hoping to receive relief from the suffering she had endured for several years. But her pain was relieved by the Heavenly Physician, Her. husband who accompanied her to Chicago returned with the remains on Tuesday of last week to her late home in Fostoria, and the funeral was held in the church there on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Severt preached to the sorrowing friends and the body laid to rest in Milford cemetery, beside her eldest daughter, Mrs. Blanche Sheldon, who with one son preceded her to th better land She leaves beside her heartbroken companion, two sons and four daughters, to whom she waS always a loving mother. Her life showed that her trust was in heaven. The crowd of neighbors and friends who attended her funeral and the abundance of beautiful flowers showed the esteem in which she was held.
