Alta Katherine "Kathy" Baker, 63 of Patrick died on Sept. 29, 2008, in Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 4, l945 in Asher the daughter of Curtis Carson and Alta Euthemia (Tackett) Glenn. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Paul High School and University of Arkansas in l976. After a 30 year teaching career, she retired having taught in Huntsville and St. Paul. She loved to go fishing in Minnesota, gardening and the outdoors. Family was most important to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Carson Glenn, Sr. and a brother PFC Charles Phillip Glenn.
She is survived by her husband of l9 years, Bobby Baker; two daughters, Tracy Smith and husband John of West Fork and Tina Goodman of Fayetteville; one son, Travis Burnett of Fayetteville; her mother, Alta Glenn of Patrick; two step daughters, Deanna Collins and Tonya Baker both of Springdale; four brothers, Curtis Carson Glenn and wife Judy of Wesley, Gary Glenn, Steven Glenn and wife Patsy, Michael Glenn and wife Lila all of Patrick; three sisters, Donna Hawkins and husband Bill of Goshen, Martha Eaton and husband J.C. of Boston and Kay Wolfe of Farmington; 10 grandchildren, Jessica and Griff Smith, Cody, Jackson and Joseph Goodman, Levi Baker, Dylan, Tanner and Logan Collins and Treyton Baker; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. at Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Oct.1 at Moore's Chapel.
