"Thad" was the third of eleven children born to Lee Roy and Stella Louise Dove Headen. He had two marriages and three children, one boy and two girls.

He was so funny and full of mischief. He wore a grin that indicated that he was always up to something. He only wore jeans and rarely wore shoes.

He was gifted with mechanical knowledge and began repairing engines when he was just a boy and grew to be the neighborhood fix it up kid. He had friends coming and going all the time. They were either having him fix something or build something outrageous looking. He had many accidents during the learning process including an explosion and a car falling on his head, but he was fearless. He succeded in becoming a mechanic and welder. He served as a mechanic in Vietnam and worked as a welder after his discharge from the Army.

He loved fast cars, trout fishing and beer. His witt was astonishing. You couldn't get anything on him. As it goes, he always got in the last word, except with daddy of course.

He was a friend to many, a protective big brother, a loving husband and father and would have definitely been a boastful grandfather.

His life tragically ended by electrocution at the age of 32 while helping to install a CB antena.

He remains in my heart, not only as a brother, but as a true friend and inspiration. I still love him dearly and miss the times we shared. If you knew him you loved him and vise versa. I know that when we meet again we will pick up where we left off. I just know he has new tricks up his sleeve and will get the best of me...AGAIN!
