Verna E. Hoover, of Saxton, died Sept. 9, 1990, in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Sept. 11, 1906, in Fredericksburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Holsinger) Frederick. She was married to Fred W. Hoover on April 20, 1928, in Hopewell. Mr. Hoover died May 8, 1976. Surviving are six children: Hazel Watson, Emma Harris, Junior Hoover, Jimmy Hoover, Thelrna Salsgiver and Charles Hoover, all of Saxton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
